Northwest Side Housing Center will be hosting a meeting to discuss rent control, tenant rights, tax appeals, tax exemptions, and assessment reform. The event will take place on Thursday, October 19, from 6 pm until 8 pm at Northwest Community Church, 5318 W. Diversey Ave.
Alderman Santiago will be hosting a fundraising event for the victims devastated by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. The event will take place on Saturday, October 14 from 10AM until 7PM. The venue will be located at Workshop 4200, 4200 W. Diversey. A minimum donation of $25 to enjoy food, drink, and entertainment. Proceeds will go to American Red Cross. Our weekly Ward Night event will take place at Foreman High School next Monday, October 2nd! Residents can come and speak with the Alderman directly. Appointments will be on a first come, first serve basis. Join us!
Midway Shredding will be be setting up a free shredding station at our Ward Office parking lot located on 2505 N. Pulaski Rd. on Saturday, September 16, from 9am until 12pm. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, residents can bring any paperwork or documents such as bank statements, old pay stubs and receipts, or tax returns. Please make sure the documents are free of any paper clips, binders, or anything else that will obstruct or harm the shredding machine.
